Brand Stroy
Our Beginning
On a sweltering summer afternoon in Kyoto, our founder—a former architect turned textile obsessive—noticed how local artisans moved with ease in their loose, breathable workwear. Meanwhile, his own stiff dress shirt clung uncomfortably in the humidity. That moment sparked a question: Why must men’s clothing sacrifice comfort for style?
In 2018, favomens was born in a converted Tokyo sewing atelier. We started with just three shirts: the Shizuka (silence) in unbleached linen, the Kaze (wind) with hidden side vents, and the Jikan (time)—a jacket designed to soften beautifully with age.
The Fabric of Our Philosophy
We believe modern masculinity thrives when unconfined. Our garments:
🌿 Breathe Before You Do
100% organic linen/cotton blends from family-run European mills
Pre-washed for that perfectly lived-in drape (no starched stiffness here)
✂️ Details That Serve
Hidden stretch panels in shoulder seams for reaching top shelves
Magnetic collar stays that won’t stab you in the laundry
Dual-layer pockets sized for modern essentials (phones, passports, poetry books)
♻️ Aged Like Good Character
Each piece develops a unique patina—wrinkles become texture, slight fading tells your story. We even include repair thread spun from original fabric.
